Some background on art and mandalas:
Modern Therapy:
Today, mandalas appear in art therapy sessions to help individuals express themselves, manage stress, and work through trauma. The act of drawing mandalas is known to help reduce anxiety and is often recommended as relaxation.
Symbolic Meanings:
Across diverse cultures, mandalas are artistic expressions with deep symbolic significance. Often, they represent:
o Unity and harmony
o Wholeness and self-unity
o The life cycle
o Personal and spiritual growth
The universal appeal of mandalas lies in their ability to be personal and part of a broader cultural expression simultaneously.
They provide a unique and visual appealing way for people to explore their spirituality, heal and express themselves creatively.

The second level class is beginner level but provides students with an understanding of how to construct a composition. Whether you want your paintings to be abstract or representational, composition is an element contributing to the overall success of the painting.
